Exploratory Writing W4B

At the end of the article, the author says that the world is changing fast, so many things need to change, but some do not (Davis). There were no humans on Earth initially, but there are many older creatures that have survived longer. However, in my opinion, only humans have surpassed themselves and stayed with quality. The author's quote made me think about a question asked in my Digital Persona class last quarter: What makes you most human/posthuman? By reading Russell's article, both feminists and the rest of us have been fighting for and seeking subjective justice for ourselves and humanity. I think this is probably what makes us most human: adapting to a world that doesn't welcome us, changing a world with many stumbling blocks, refreshing the rules of the world, and never giving up. Russell talked about how many people are insecure even in such a developed present (Russell). This is probably the reason why human beings try to change. The reason for insecurity may be unfamiliar surroundings and unreal people, and factors that could potentially hurt us. People who feel insecure about the Internet or think it is hurtful should also do so because they feel virtual and do not have access to honest communication. In the article, the author says that the Internet is a place where we can switch between identities and not hold people accountable (Davis). I both agree and disagree with this view. Many people express their personalities differently on the Internet than in life, not because the Internet is so open, but because we want to show our personalities differently when dealing with different people. I don't think the Internet doesn't hold people accountable because the Internet has a far better memory than humans do. Even if we erase all traces left on the Internet, those words we said or opinions we expressed will always leave some traces. And, if many people have seen our thoughts, they will be impressed by them as well. The Internet is like a big container for bacterial fermentation. It spreads information quickly and efficiently. At the beginning of the article, the author mentions that the Internet was used for military and political purposes (Davis). I think it is perhaps because of its speed of information dissemination and its ability to change the direction of public opinion. For the world, everyone is a glitch; For the machine, unruly parts are a glitch; For growth, adversity is a glitch. These glitches can irritate us, but I think they are essential. Human nature is a glitch because many uncontrollable factors in human beings and human goodness are unpredictable. Cyborg was a rarely seen presence in the world a few decades ago. It is a very advanced product of technology. It is a combination of human and technology. It is also a glitch because it is a different existence from most humans. With the development of technology, everyone used technological products such as the replacement of knee joints. Therefore, humans are also cyborgs in a sense and glitches at the same time.
